      Ken, I haven't tried Slackware at all. The closest I got to Slack was Salix.

      Gary, IMHO Slax is close to Slackware as Hyde Park close to natural forest. It's too user-friendly. :)

      The closest I ever got to Gentoo was Sabayon.
