- Are you waiting for Ubuntu 14.10 release?
- Are you planning to update/upgrade/install Ubuntu 14.10 on your computer?
In total, almost 600 users voted between the 9th of September and the 1st of October 2014. It is the most representative poll on this blog so far.
The simplest would be to represent results as a table:
Are you waiting for Ubuntu 14.10 release? |
Are you planning to update / upgrade / install Ubuntu 14.10 on your computer? |

No | 305 | No | 266 |

As you can see, majority of the users are not waiting for the next release of Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn. Although I must admit that the gap between those who does and does not wait is only 5.7%.
What is also interesting that some people still plan to install Ubuntu 14.10 even though they are not waiting for that release. And, vice versa, some people are waiting for Utopic Unicorn release, but do not plan the installation.
If you are interested in Ubuntu (or also Xubuntu, Kubuntu or Lubuntu 14.10), you can pre-order the disk through the Buy Linux CDs service, and the disk will be dispatched to you almost immediately after the release.
I'm loading Linux Mint 17 Xfce on my Dell Mini 9. Love the little Mouse
ReplyDeleteFair enough, everyone has preferences. :)
DeleteEven though I've upgraded on every release since 12.04, I think I'm going to stick with Lubuntu 14.04 this time around (at least for now).
ReplyDeleteyou're not the only person with this approach. :)
DeleteSticking to Arch for desktop or workstation applications, and would rather run Slack, Debian, or CentOS for server applications because they're proven rock-solid, Slack for 20+ years, Debian for about 19, maybe 18 years as a guesstimate, and CentOS and its RHEL upstream in the enterprise sector for 10 years.
