This is incredibly strange to me and becoming more prevelant, the very thing (philosophy) that gave you the ability to have something that just works is now unimportant, or at least so far from your mind that it fails to be mentioned in an article. I've seen Windows us...It really does just work. I've seen Windows users spend hours trying to find drivers for Hardware. All I have ever had to do in Linux (Xubuntu) is just plug it in.
